Diya Delft is a new Indian restaurant that will be situated in Delft. We are currently busy with setting up the restaurant and are looking for a independent cook who want to help us bring the Indian cuisine to Delft.  Are you experienced in the Indian cuisine and not afraid of an entrepreneurial challenge? What will you be doing?

As an independent working cook you are responsible for the daily affairs and progress in the kitchen. You are also responsible for supervising and preparing dishes. You provide input and you are creative with regard to the composition and changes of menus. You ensure a neat workplace and work according to HACCP. In addition, you like to work well together in a team.

You offer our guests constant quality with high quality product and you know how to surprise them with the most unique combinations of dishes. You contribute to a high quality performance and implementation of culinary concept.

 

Who are you?

– You have a passion for everything that has to do with Indian food and drinks;

– You get energy of setting up a new India restaurant;

– You are used to working in the kitchen under pressure and have an eye for detail;

– You speak fluent English;

– You have minimum of 2 years’ experience in the Indian cuisine;

– You are flexible and have a passion for your profession;

– You are strong in collaboration and contribute positively to the team;

Diya Delft is an Indian restaurant situated in Delft. Focus of Diya Delft is to be a bridge between the local Dutch society and Indian culture by serving delicious authentic Indian food. Due to expansion of our restaurant, we are looking for new employees.

 

(Part-time) Kitchen employee (16 – 38 hour)

 

We are currently looking for a kitchen employee to join our team in our restaurant. If you are a motivated person who takes pride in keeping things clean and organized, our location is the right place for you!

 

What will you be doing?

– You ensure the cleanliness of the kitchen by cleaning and sterilizing countertops, kitchen walls, stoves, ovens, grills and sinks;

– You are responsible for the usage of the dishwasher during the opening hours of the restaurant;

– You dispose the kitchen waste in the correct containers;

– You clean the entire kitchen once the restaurant is closed to ensure it is ready for the next day;

– You keep the food storage areas like freezers and refrigerators clean;

– You assist in cleaning and maintaining the kitchen equipment;

– You receive deliveries and organize them in the kitchen;

– You assist the cooks in preparing the kitchen;

– You follow all safety and hygiene procedures;

– You report equipment deposits or maintenance problems to management.

 

Who are you?

– You are a positive and hardworking person;

– You have the ability to communicate effectively with the team;

– You are flexible and you don’t mind working evenings or weekends;

Parttime Service employee

We are currently looking for parttime service employees to strengthen our team in our restaurant Diya Delft. Are you someone who puts a smile on everyone’s face? Then you are our new service employee!

 

What will you be doing?

– You provide our guests with a warm greeting and assist them in the best manner as possible.

– You know how to handle incoming phone calls for reservations or queries.

– You advise our guests about our dishes and drinks.

– You serve our guests our delicious Indian dishes and drinks.

– You are the point of contact for our guests and the kitchen.

– You ensure that the guest are correctly billed for their orders.

– You support your colleagues where necessary.

– You create a pleasant atmosphere because you are open, social and hospitable and you ensure operation runs smoothly.

Diya Delft is an Indian restaurant situated in Delft. Focus of Diya Delft is to be a bridge between the local Dutch society and Indian culture by serving delicious authentic Indian food. Due to expansion of our restaurant, we are looking for a Head Chef who can run our kitchen.

 

What will you be doing?

As Head Chef you are responsible for the overall success of the daily kitchen operations. You exhibits culinary talents by personally performing tasks while leading your staff and managing all food related tasks. We find it important that you lead them in a coaching fashion and not in an authoritative way.

You work to continually improve guest and employee satisfaction while maximizing the financial performance in all areas of your responsibility. You supervise all kitchen areas to ensure a consistent, high quality product. You ensure that sanitation and food standards are achieved.

 

Leading Kitchen Operations

– Leading kitchen team

– Provides direction for all day-to-day operations.

– Provides guidance and direction to subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance.

– Utilizes interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others; sound financial/business decision making; demonstrates honesty/integrity; leads by example.

– Encourages and builds mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.

– Serving as a role model to demonstrate appropriate behaviors.

– Manages department controllable expenses including food cost, supplies, uniforms and equipment.

– Participates in the budgeting process for areas of responsibility.

– Knows and implements the brands safety standards.

 

Ensuring Culinary Standards and Responsibilities are met.

– Provides direction for menu development.

– Monitors the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure that standards are met.

– Determines how food should be presented and create decorative food displays.

– Recognizes superior quality products, presentations, and flavor.

– Ensures compliance with food handling and sanitation standards.

– Follows proper handling and right temperature of all food products.

– Ensures employees maintain required food handling and sanitation certifications.

– Maintains purchasing, receiving and food storage standards.

– Prepares and cooks foods of all types, either on a regular basis or for special guests or functions.

 

Managing and Conducting Human Resource Activities

– Trains kitchen associates on the fundamentals of good cooking and excellent plate presentations.

– Administers the performance appraisal process for direct report managers.

 

Who are you?

Als manager zorg je ervoor dat de dagelijkse werking van het restaurant op rolletjes loopt. Jij zorgt te allen tijde voor maximale gastbeleving en kwaliteit! Jij weet onze gasten te betoveren.

Daarnaast geef je op een positieve en energieke manier leiding aan het team en ben je verantwoordelijk voor het personeelsbeleid. Je helpt bij het maken van de planningen, coacht en traint het team. Daarnaast ben je verantwoordelijk voor de financiële administratie en de salaris administratie van het restaurant.

 

Wie ben jij?

Ben je een ervaren bedrijfsleider in de horeca en je wil graag in een veilige omgeving ondernemen? Kom dan kennismaken. We zijn op zoek naar een ervaren bedrijfsleider die:

  • Weet hoe je een nieuw menu tot stand kan brengen;
  • Vloeiend Nederlands en Engels spreekt;
  • SVH- en BHV-diploma heeft of bereid is deze op korte termijn te behalen;
  • Uiteraard ervaring heeft met het werken in een restaurant.
