Kitchen employee

Diya Delft is an Indian restaurant situated in Delft. Focus of Diya Delft is to be a bridge between the local Dutch society and Indian culture by serving delicious authentic Indian food. Due to expansion of our restaurant, we are looking for new employees.

 

(Part-time) Kitchen employee (16 – 38 hour)

 

We are currently looking for a kitchen employee to join our team in our restaurant. If you are a motivated person who takes pride in keeping things clean and organized, our location is the right place for you!

 

What will you be doing?

– You ensure the cleanliness of the kitchen by cleaning and sterilizing countertops, kitchen walls, stoves, ovens, grills and sinks;

– You are responsible for the usage of the dishwasher during the opening hours of the restaurant;

– You dispose the kitchen waste in the correct containers;

– You clean the entire kitchen once the restaurant is closed to ensure it is ready for the next day;

– You keep the food storage areas like freezers and refrigerators clean;

– You assist in cleaning and maintaining the kitchen equipment;

– You receive deliveries and organize them in the kitchen;

– You assist the cooks in preparing the kitchen;

– You follow all safety and hygiene procedures;

– You report equipment deposits or maintenance problems to management.

 

Who are you?

– You are a positive and hardworking person;

– You have attention to detail and the ability to work in a busy environment;

– You have the ability to communicate effectively with the team;

– You are flexible and you don’t mind working evenings or weekends;

– You speak fluent English and preferably also Dutch.
